Athletics released OF Stephen Piscotty.

Piscotty has been released to create a spot on the Athletics' 40-man roster for top prospect Shea Langeliers to be called up to the majors. The 31-year-old outfielder has been limited to 42 games this Eason due to injuries and has hit just .245/.305/.423 with 55 homers in 1,496 plate appearances over 403 games for the Athletics since 2018.

Always a Piscotty fan. I hope he gets healthy and turns it around.

How many GRB'ers can remember what got in exchange for Piscotty from the A's? No cheating.

(I was nowhere close)

I was doing one of those Sporcle quizzes to kill time and realized I'd totally forgotten Brandon Moss was a Cardinal. Hit 28 homers in 2016!

I have zero memories of it off the top of my head. Same for Jose Martinez. To be fair I did halfway tune out for a few years there.

Jose Martinez was very tall. That was pretty cool.
