Hey - you can't finish second if you're not in the game.

Interesting that the Braves would be looking to upgrade, when they already have two pretty good catchers.

Taking advantage of a warm catchers market.Popeye_Card wrote: ↑December 2 22, 3:41 pmInteresting that the Braves would be looking to upgrade, when they already have two pretty good catchers.

Yeah I don’t get it…
MLB.com's Mark Feinsand says the A's are moving closer to trading Sean Murphy and that the Braves appear to be the frontrunners to land the catcher.
The Braves aren't exactly hurting behind the plate with Travis d'Arnaud and William Contreras, but Murphy would still rate as a nice upgrade. The A's might be interested in Contreras in return, though they have another former Braves prospect, Shea Langeliers, ready to take over for Murphy. Ian Anderson and Kyle Muller are among the pitchers the A's could target. The Rays and Guardians have also been mentioned as suitors for Murphy.

A team with a decent option at a position, but still looking to upgrade because it'll make the team better
What a novel concept.

I’d rather just have little Contreras over murphy anywayMagneto2.0 wrote: ↑December 4 22, 5:14 pmA team with a decent option at a position, but still looking to upgrade because it'll make the team better

A’s don’t need a catcher
So going with 3 catchers? Or trading in a separate deal?
Like I said if I’m the braves, I like my guy (Contreras) more than murphy, so why trade for him
Oh well, we’ll see soon
(I want Jansen as I’ve said many times anyway so don’t really care)

Looking like after the Olsen trade, Atlanta likes to deal with Oakland.cardsfantx wrote: ↑December 4 22, 5:14 pmYeah I don’t get it…
