Trade Proposal - Help!
I'm giving up 3 years of Puig for 4 years of Javier Baez/4 years of Cueto (throw-in).
Would ya?

Is that supposed to read Baez and Cueto for Puig?

Who would you have to drop in order to make the trade happen?

That is a tough call.
I'm not familiar with Yelich. Gardner is quick, so if you value steals, he's good to have around, and he'll probably get regular playing time, having to cover for Soriano and Beltran in the OF. Garcia has hype, but it's not Baez hype.
I do like Cueto in a walk year.
I would worry about the cub curse affecting Baez in some bizarre way.
I don't know. It's a coin flip, in my book.

I like Puig fine, though he's volatile and he could be MVP in a year or he could be the MLB version of Ron Artest or something, too out of control to be valuable. Baez is going to be that guy like Tulo who goes 1-1 in a lot of drafts. Having him locked for 4 years would be huge for you.

I realize Baez has insane power, which at SS/2B would be great, but aren't there concerns about his inability to take a walk and his k-rate?33anda3rd wrote:Yes.go birds wrote:I'm giving up 3 years of Puig for 4 years of Javier Baez/4 years of Cueto (throw-in).

Yea i mean, its mainly puig for baez....i feel like any of those OFers are expendable--i'd more than likely be dropping yelich.mikechamp wrote:That is a tough call.

Sure, he doesn't walk a lot. And there's swing and miss. But the toolshed outweighs the concerns. He's legit.
