Funny.. That reminds me that my college roomate's Dad had some close connection with invention of Jiffy Pop popcorn.

I love McRibb's, but I do worry about them. Can you do me a favor and find out from that guy what they are made of exactly?
Do you really want to know? I think that's one of those things that is better left a mystery.

I'm friends with Miss Iowa 2014, and her family.

I dated Katy Perry in high school.

Really.

The fact I graduated in 1977 means nothing.

The mom of my best friend growing up was an assistant equipment manager for the Blues. We had an assignment in French class in 8th grade where we needed to get the signature of a person who knew how to speak French. We got Pierre Turgeon to do ours.

I also had a typing class with Mark Buehrle's younger brother in high school.

I went to grad school with Elizabeth Alexander, who wrote the poem for the 2009 presidential inauguration.

I was a high-school classmate of Mike Beugg, the producer of Little Miss Sunshine and Thank You for Not Smoking. I was also a year ahead of George Hickenlooper, who directed Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse.

I was interviewed for a teaching job at Bard College by its president, Leon Botstein, who is also a well-respected orchestra conductor.

A second-cousin, Marilyn Nelson, is an award-winning poet and author of children's books.

The female lead of Fargo, season one (Allison Tollman) was my back-fence neighbor and buddy's little sister.

My grandma used to babysit with Barbara Hale (a/k/a Della Street from Perry Mason fame) when they were in High School.
