Iirc, CONCACAF self produces all of the games and only sells highlight rights to whoever can pay. US Soccer and Fox Sports have no control over it.

Bummer that the USMNT never schedules anything in the PNW. And I don't know why. Great soccer fans up here. Lots of empty seats in Detroit. There would be none at the Seahawks stadium.

Also bummer that I'll miss Agudelo with NY when they play the Timbers because of the Gold Cup. It'll be cool to see Henry though, past his prime, sure. But that will be fun.

Well cities put bids in for Gold Cup venues. Detroit paid for the right to have a half filled stadium.

The Argentina game we tied in New Jersey last month was supposed to be in Seattle, but Argentina complained that they didn't want the European based players (read: Messi) to have to travel an extra 4 time zones, so USS relented and moved it.

Personally, I think every game against Mexico should be in Seattle. Especially in World Cup qualifying.

Altidore is beefing with a reporter.

First this article from Noah Davis: http://www.mlssoccer.com/goldcup/news/a ... dores-game
"All you need to look at for that is the World Cup," Bradley said. "He wasn’t able to score, but his overall contribution to the team every game was big. He’s a guy that does a lot for us and we count on him."

But just because he did score a goal doesn't mean he played well. The forward still didn't show much understanding of the tactical game plan against Canada. He spent much of the night arriving a step late, if he arrived at all. Sure, he drew a few fouls in dangerous areas and used his body well on the goal, but he needs to work harder, much harder if he's going to make a serious impact.
Then this:

#GoldCup #USMNT Big news out of Mexican camp - apparently 6 players will be separated from the team for positive doping tests, Ochoa + 5

20 mins until USA V Panama. I predict 3-1 US. It's on FSC.

That the officiating has been shocking so far is the opposite of shocking.
