The good news is Albert thinks of Tony as a father and will probably seek his advice. LaRussa loves the Cards organization and hopefully advise him to be like Stan, Gibby, Red, etc.

I'm not so thrilled with this. I know alot of you don't seem to think so but I think this hurts our chances with Albert. TLR is the only coach he's had in the majors, they obviously have a pretty special relationship.

The timing of his retirement makes complete sense -IMO
