Rumor has it Cooper is going to be replaced by another DP striker No. 9 type (I just learned what that is). I'm excited about that, even if the chances of me having heard of the guy are fairly limited.

For those of you who are SLU people, Tim Ream and Vedad Ibisevic both made multi-million dollar moves this month. Ream moved from New York Red Bulls to Bolton Wanderers in the Premiership and Vedad Ibesevic moved from Hoffenheim to Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. Don't know if I can recall two alums from the same university making big ticket moves in the same transfer window.

Ah, now it makes sense. He's not coming to play. He's coming to eat.

Yeah, we'll see. I'd rather have spent big for a creative wing and there are definitely some red flags here (in addition to the as yet mysterious medical red flags our other dp forward is throwing up now). If he can get motivated this could be great. Spencer won't take any crap, I'm fairly confident. I hope that Boyd comes in with something to prove, but the truth is that bacon maple bar is really good. So we'll see.

The cool thing about MLS is that if this breaks down we aren't on the hook for several years.

Portland signed Charles Renken. Once the brightest us prospect since 14 year old Adu. He went to Germany and had some really tough injuries. Still super young (17? Around there) and with as much upside as any player in the league.
