In '06 they got rings. I don't think they get the players version, but something a little cheaper like what the front office guys get.Cole Burns wrote:The article said that all living HOF players get a ring. I did not know that? Is that standard? If so, that means all present or past Cards players that will enter the Hall (cough, cough) will one day get a ring if/when St Louis wins again. Seems really strange in a way.
When do we see the rings?

The FO people get cheaper versions? I've seen (and worn, hehe) the version the employees got in 2004 and it looked like the real deal.cards2468 wrote:In '06 they got rings. First I've ever heard of that. Maybe they mean "living HOF'ers from the WS winning team"? That would seem more appropriate; I'm sure Stan Musial and Bob Gibson would appreciate having a 2011 Cardinals World Series ring more than George Brett and Mike Schmidt.
Just wondering - who is the oldest living Hall of Famer? Stan's gotta be close to the top of that list.

Since Bob Feller died, Stan is the oldest living Hall of Fame player. There's an exec or umpire that's like a year older than him.Jmodene wrote:Cole Burns wrote:The article said that all living HOF players get a ring. I did not know that? Is that standard? I really like that idea of HOF'ers getting rings. I think the Cardinals do a great job recognizing their past, and this is yet another example. Reason #1,200,382 why St. Louis is the best franchise in baseball.
