Just snagging the ball was an outstanding play from where he was.
It's almost a shame the play resulted in an error...it started so beautifully.

He's got range -- no one will doubt that (remember that play he made on Rolen earlier in the year!?)... however, as good as his arm is, he's very erratic.
Very true. I still like him as a player though...a team could do a lot worse at third.
Weaver with a nice play to get the lead runner on a comebacker to the mound...Cards continue to execute defensively.
Inge has been by far the Tigers best hitter in this series, but the two awful throws and that boneheaded baserunning play pretty much nullify all his hitting.
I kinda feel sorry for him in a way... He waited so long to get to the postseason...he must want it so bad, I think he's just so amped up that he's forcing things. He's more solid as a fielder and as a baserunner than he's shown in this series. (In a way, very Pujols-esque one might say. AP hasn't exactly been the hitter we're all used to seeing either.)

Yeah, I don't really know either... I was thinking the same thing.

If he walks Edmonds, it doesn't make a difference if he's running or not.
But if it's in the zone, Edmonds is just as likely to strikeout as he is to do anything else...and Pujols has no prayer of beating out a throw if Edmonds Ks.
