Same here. It is kind of weird they were willing to do that. I wonder if they get any pushback from game publishers about it. It's definitely made me less inclined to buy an Xbox one or new games. What I don't get is why all games aren't available on the online store.Jocephus wrote:nothing on either console has urged me to pick one up. im still fully enjoying my 360. plus, since xbox is giving away all these games i couldn't tell you the last time i actually paid for a game
I'd love to get the newere GTA, but not bad enough upgrade. I'll probably what until a new Fallout, Red Dead, or Elder Scrolls game forces me.

Jumped on a deal through Cowboom (Best Buy's refurbished site) for a ps4. Picked up a copy of Far Cry 4 to see how it looks on my projection screen - indeed, its pretty fantastic.
I am absolutely terrible at shooters on consoles. It's like trying to play hockey when I can hardly even ice skate. I am able to move around and aim pretty fluidly, until I am forced to do something like, say, shoot at an actual enemy, change weapons, or take cover. This is all very difficult for me. Gonna have to put in some hours just so I can simply play these games with any kind of fun factor.

I'm in the same boat. I have a 360, XB1, PS3 and PS4. With my subscriptions the amount of games I'm receiving every month is overload.ghostrunner wrote:Same here. I'm totally addicted to Super Mega Baseball on the PS4. If you're looking for an old school style baseball game with a surprising amount of gameplay depth under the hood you should check this game out. It's glorious.

Re: The Video Game Thread
About a month or so ago I went retro and started up a new game of Final Fantasy Tactics on my PS3. I bought a used copy off of eBay like 3-4 years ago for like $5 plus shipping.
So far I'm 45 hours in and maybe halfway through the game, and Future Mrs. Swirls can't even stand being in the living room with me now if I'm playing it. I think it is the 20 year old retro Japanese-midi style music, since ultimately it plays the same 2-3 songs depending on where you're at.
But God I love that game. Easily my all-time favorite RPG, followed by FF7 and FF8.

Thief was free a few months ago on PS3. I enjoyed it for the first hour but never went back to play again.Jocephus wrote:just cause 2 and thief are the june free 360 games.
