Re: Music talk Thread
Jason Isbell is playing 4 shows at the ryman here in nashville at the end of the month and naturally i was unable to get a ticket because they all sold out within minutes. I was so disappointed.
But then a couple days ago, my friend, who was able to get a pair, gifted them to me, for free!
Turns out he has to travel out of town that night. Wouldn't take my money. Said he wasn't even going to see Isbell, but the opening act, Chris Stapleton, but knew i was a fan so he said to go and have a good time.
Whatta guy.

I know Stapleton is a great writer, but I've just started listening to his stuff. Enjoy.

Check out the first two albums by The Steeldrivers with him as lead singer/songwriter. Excellent stuff.BW23 wrote:I know Stapleton is a great writer, but I've just started listening to his stuff. Enjoy.

I will. Thanks. He's a guy I've been meaning to check out for a while, and I actually just listened to a little on Spotify yesterday at the request of a friend. I'm sure I'll listen tomorrow at work.redbirdjazzz wrote:Check out the first two albums by The Steeldrivers with him as lead singer/songwriter. Lyle Lovett is still so damn good. Don't know why I don't listen to him more. Saw him and John Hiatt last night.

Puscifer's 3rd full-length studio album, Money Shot, releases tomorrow. Pre-ordered my copy... The whole album is streaming on Pandora Premieres until tomorrow.
It's incredible. And, like Primus, pretty much impossible to lump into a convenient musical genre. Hard driving rock, some techy-rich sounds, great harmonies, some humor...
Title track is straight ahead rock.
