So my seven-year-old daughter and I are in the car, the Beatles' White Album is playing on the car stereo, and "Honey Pie" starts.

Her: "I kind of like this one, but I kind of don't."
Me: "Mmm."
Her: "Is this Paul McCartney?"
Me: "Yes it is."
Her: "Can you go back to the one where Paul McCartney is loud?"

So on request I click back three tracks to "Helter Skelter". Sometimes fatherhood is awesome.

Cool story. Both of my girls love the Beatles too. I made an effort to bring them up having listened to all types of music.
You have to educate them that there is/was better music than the crap of today.

I've made a deliberate effort. Figure she'll have no problem picking up the latest pop at school. So it's all Beatles and oldie stations in the car.

Turns out she really likes "I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS."
