Thank you for the kind words everyone. I'm embarrassed to admit I got a little choked up reading all your comments.

I want to stress I'm not ending the board due to any specific reasons like the political thread. It's something I've been struggling with for awhile now. I can't give this message board the attention it deserves and I need focus on other areas of my life. GRB will always have a special place in my heart and all of you mean so much to me. Thank you so much!

I completely understand. It is like an old hobby that you still love, but don't have time for anymore. I have not been able to brew beer for close to 5 years now because I'm too busy, but I can't bring myself to sell my equipment. But the hobby of GRB takes constant maintenance. I don't blame you for walking away. Thanks for hanging on this long.

Like most on here, it's been a real fun ride. Some up, some downs, definitely more up. Its amazing how much things have changed from when myself and some of you came over in the first exodus from Cards Talk - Wives, Children, Championships, Houses, Recessions, Graduations, Twitter, MLBTV, etc. It's been great reading what everyone has had to type on here over the years. Farewell, and I hope to see you all again someday/somewhere.

This place attracted cool people, that introduced me to things I haven't thought about before. Like today, I am looking for something to read on vacation - and this book thread is where I thought to look. It is one of the few social internet sites I frequented.

So yeah. pretty much all the sentiments that have been said here already. Quite a few good laughs have been had. Good luck to all, and thanks mods and Michael.
Oh, this is Freed, BTW.

Go Cards.

And as the doppelganger guy would say - I hope we win.

I really am seriously bummed out about this, GRB was part of my daily routine.

Thanks again Michael for creating a place for so many of us to gather on a daily basis.

Sad news as this is one of the few sites I visit nearly daily for half of the year. Thanks so much for giving our small community an outlet (and an escape from Cards Talk) for all these years, Michael. Your efforts (and those of the moderators) are supremely appreciated! Greatway Redbirds will be sorely missed.

Michael: Pretty sure you're a GAFfer so please don't hesitate to stop by MLB-GAF every once in a while!

Wow. Will certainly miss this place! Have to echo everything that has already been said. A huge thank you to Michael for keep this place running for so many years. It's amazing to think about how far most of us have come. I know many of your stories... we have experienced so much life and so much incredible baseball together. Let me know if some of you end up talking baseball somewhere else. I will gladly follow.

It's only appropriate that ZZ Top should send us out...
