Re: All Good Things Must Come to an End (Aug 12th)
I'll renew the call for the creation and maintenance of a Patreon (kind of like Kickstarter, but for ongoing subscriptions) campaign so we can keep this beautiful beast alive. I'm good for $10/mo from now until the end of time. Not sure if Michael would be willing to hand off the reins to anyone else or if there are any volunteers willing assume the mantle, but I feel convicted to fight for what you all have built. This is the best place on the Internet, no question. It would be a real shame to just let this community die.Leroy wrote:I'd kick in 25 a year if it'd help

Thanks for chiming in pop!pop_haines wrote:Well, that is a sad thing, even to an old ghost like me.
Thank you Michael and farewell, GRB. This place mattered.

I don't post nearly as often as I used to, but still lurk quite often (this was the first place I came to after the draft and after the Duke acquisition to see what people thought of both).
Thanks to Michael for a great run. I still remember basically experiencing the first Cardinals WS title of my lifetime with a bunch of "strangers" on a forum in 2006 - so for that, I thank Michael and everyone who was a part of GRB back then.

And yes, in my early years, I was a different persona that was eventually banned and came back to life.JS04 wrote:I don't post nearly as often as I used to, but still lurk quite often (this was the first place I came to after the draft and after the Duke acquisition to see what people thought of both).

I, too, would like to save GRB. Time I have, money not so much. But I can't think of this place just disappearing. What can I do, Michael?

I came to confess, I was the second gunman on the grassy knoll.
