I will say from what I've read on Sanford, sounds like he can play all 3 forward positions. If he's ready now, put him at RW... we aren't exactly brimming with talent there. Have a logjam of C for a change, but I'd happily move off some of them.

I kinda had a feeling we we're over estimating Shattenkirk's value on the market. I agree, it doesn't sound like the Blues got a very good return, but I'm guessing that's the best offer on the table.

The return for a rental I think is fair. It seems absolutely worse when compared to the Wild trade, but a late 1st and a B prospect is the going rate for rentals the past few years.

The mismanagement of this season was the bigger issue. Doing a half-assed sendoff for Hitchcock and overplaying/not trading Shatty at the draft were the bigger issues.

Yeah, the coaching dilemma they inflicted upon themselves to start the season kinda put themselves behind the 8 ball from the get go.

Going to the game tonight. What are the chances I'll see Sanford?

Probably zero. He hasn't practiced with the team yet.

We should have gotten a guaranteed 2nd. This is not enough, (unless we get that 2nd) but it is better than nothing.

That said, lets give Sanford time. He seems like a solid prospect. Not great. Not amazing. Solid.

Blues are clearly reloading now with younger players to put around their core of Tank, Schwartz, Petro and Steen. We probably shouldn't have resigned Steen if we were going to reload, but oh well.
