Re: Random Baseball Musings
Noting today's anniversary of Bob Gibson's 3000th K I took a look at the all-time strikeout leader list.
Surprised to non fast-baller reliant Phil Niekro, Gaylord Perry.
Here's one of those best bleacherreport lists. on non-fastball strikeout pitchers.

Maddux and Mussina are fairly recent. but this seems to be kind of a lost art - the K-pitcher that doesn't clock high.
Also, I see Bert Blyleven way up the all-time list. I don't recall him having the heat, but not sure.

Every team in the NL Central is over .500 at home and under .500 on the road.

The Twins had a 11.5 game lead on June 2. It's now down to 3.

Re: Random Baseball Musings
Looking at Joe Mulvey's picture in the other thread led me to some wiki-surfing where I found out the Cardinals own almost one quarter of all National League World Series wins (11 of 48.) Damn.

Well, if they win the next 2, they will have over 25%. Let’s go.
