I'm feeling extra demoralized today, having read a summary of the Imperial College study. This could be our reality for 18 months, and even with this reality, a million Americans may die.

All the unforeseen consequences of being basically quarantined are crazy. No funerals, disrupting weddings, even things like two friends' kids whose appts to get their braces off were canceled. Talking to a co-worker today, she's been reading medical journals and supposedly the first case was in Nov. My good friend (healthy, 40s) was in the ICU for 5 days with pneumonia on New Years Day (11 hospital days total). Who knows how long it's been here? She very well could have had it.

Yeah, it's crazy.

Along these same lines, there are stories coming from all over about people getting sick, pneumonia, high fever, etc over the past few months. There are reports from people all over that this isn't all that harmful. Some of the NBA players, for example, have said they don't feel bad at all. Feel like they could play a 7 game series no problem.

I wonder if this hasn't spread, wildly, already. And, there are millions and millions truly infected?

Why does this vaccine take so long?

Does it do any good for people that are infected already?
