i want to try a sushi place in town and i know places are getting hit hard so wanted to support...plus my employer is offering up to 150 in reimbursements to patronize local places etc...but wasn't sure if it was considered unsafe/wise

It's appreciated for sure. Another thing you can do is buy a gift card. We're doing delivery and takeout, quite a bit actually, which is kind of weird when usually it's a fine dining restaurant that does neither of those things but I'm thankful to still be employed.

I was listening to David Chang's podcast and he was talking about restauranteurs facing what's basically a trolley problem in terms of what they're going to do during the crisis. You have employees to take care of and a local community to worry about at the same time.

I'm most worried about the hourly immigrant backbone of the industry just packing up and going home to their families in Mexico or Honduras or wherever if they can't make money for a couple of months.

Ohio has issued a stay at home order. However; what should come as no surprise to any of you; Uncle Cards is essential and I must still go to work.

We're probably a month away from the peak of this.
