Re: Coronavirus
You might be on to something. We should tell the twenty somethings that this Corona will permanently damage their 'junk'.

Re: Coronavirus
True. I really hope that I don't have it because if I do... then I'm going to be blamed for giving it to her because I was weak and had a couple of drinks at the bar twice in the past month. Even though she went out to a bar briefly in St. Charles with a couple of friends and another friend who is around her as much as I am has gone out more than me... I'll probably end up taking the blame if my test comes back positive.

Re: Coronavirus
So random, but having a husband who enjoys his socially distanced beers at local establishment patios, I also know who to blame. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week to stay at my friend's condo in Lake Geneva, WI. Thought it would be a perfect spot to social distance - not a resort, with a pool only for residents, lake access. I also know it's a huge destination for Chicagoans and generally crowded around this time of year. I may just be shacking up in her place and pool. i'll still take the change of scenery!tlombard wrote: ↑July 2 20, 7:30 pmTrue. Re: Coronavirus
We were talking last night and thankfully she isn't holding to big of a grudge if it turns out that I am also positive and the other friend isn't. If the other friend tests positive then I'm pretty sure he'll be the one taking the blame since he has been out a lot more than me and also going into work every day since he isn't able to work from home. I guess the one positive to take out of this is that my holiday plans were easier to figure out this year. I was helping her move on Memorial Day. I'm going to be at home by myself quarantined for the 4th of July. I'm a bit nervous for Labor Day. Who knows what will ruin that holiday for me. With the way the past few months have gone (shutdown, hit a pothole and blew a tire so I had to put four new ones on earlier than planned, hit a deer six hours after getting new tires, girl backed into my car, cousin's 17 year old died from injuries suffered in a car crash, GF's long time friend passed suddenly leaving behind a husband and two children, lost my job, hit another pothole and blew a tire and now this)… I'm honestly a bit worried!

Yep. This is why the protests didn't spread the virus a lot - people were not eating and drinking at the protests (maybe beyond bottled water or something). Also, protests are outdoors and there is a lot more space to keep your distance. Eating, drinking, partying, etc seem like what spreads it the most of all the "normal" activities

I have to say, I vehemently disagree w/ this. The protests w/o a doubt caused a lot of spread, which I think is why we are seeing a lot of younger people getting the virus (on top of bars and things like that reopening). This is the liberals (and I’m liberal) way of making excuses, and while I think the protests were completely justified, to say they didn’t help spread the virus just seems really disingenuous.
