Re: PRO wrestling thread
Night 1 of Wrestlemania absolutely ruled. The Austin match was way better than it had any business being.

Re: PRO wrestling thread
This really sucks.
Chances are that WWE and AEW will simply just raise ticket prices by a buck or two and no one really cares, but if you like small or even moderately-sized indie wrestling promotions, their tax bill doubled/tripled/quadrupled overnight with no discussion.

Re: PRO wrestling thread
Ringside News, a fairly large but wholly non-credible wrestling news outlet, decided to criticize Nyla Rose, a former AEW Women's Champion who is transgender. She handled it quite well, but it further goes to show just how much the conservative outrage of preserving women's sports is bogus. They get mad that a trans woman "competes" in a worked sport.

Lmao. They want to see a giant woman pick up a smaller, hotter woman and slam her to the ground, but it is extremely important that the giant woman be born with female sex organs. If the giant woman, who slams the smaller, hotter woman to the ground was born with male sex organs, it is no longer good. It is bad.
People are [expletive] creeps, man. Weird creeps. I just can't wrap my head around some of the [expletive] people care about.

And also, they could just make my wife the women's champion if they wanted to. Or me. Or my dog!thrill wrote: ↑May 25 22, 7:46 amLmao. Or all 3. Then you'll have a true faction on your hands.

Re: PRO wrestling thread
I wonder if they're just trying to find a faction that actually sticks?
I really like the super elite's incredible dumb guy energy. I like Jericho's heel turn in which he got lean, feathered his hair, and started wearing pink eye liner, but he's the only great performer out of the bunch (what is up with the canadian guy with the perfectly square head and body who speaks with a Chicago accent? Just use a Canadian accent dickweed). I like blackpool combat club but that's still not fully baked. I like the best friends, but they don't really have a narrative hook. I like members of the dark order, but I'm not quite sure what the point is. Team Taz is cool, mostly because Ricky Starks is hilarious. But none of them really seem to have narrative goals.
