Do the Cardinals fill the bench coach job from within?

This was strictly a move to open up a spot for Yadi. To save Skip the indignity of being fired after one year, we called in a favor from the Marlins.

This would be awesome for Yadi to stay in the clubhouse. I wonder if he will want to spend time in PR for a while though, what with his basketball team and everything.

For the record I was only kidding on the Yadi front. I have no insider information if he (or Pujols?) is being considered for a bench coach gig.

absolutely!

kinda weird as he was on a year to year contract with us as he didn't want to commit to anything further, as it was so far away from his home/family in California, and wanted an out in case he wanted to go home.

but for the big job, kind of makes the decision easier, even if it means moving further.
