Twitter is already abuzz with people who don't know the votes were cast at the end of the regular season.

Manny deserves it. Edges out Nolan playing in a pitcher park that kills righties and just as good with the glove. Goldy has the hitting but choked hard in September.

Any of the NL Finalist deserve it. Whoever wins is fine

AL MVP is clearly Judge, no debate

Alcantara is clear NL Cy Young
Verlander is edge AL Cy Young

Harris should be NL ROY, Spencer missed too much time
JRod is clear AL ROY

I have a lot of Astros fan friends who are all "PENA WAS ALCS AND WS MVP HOW IS HE NOT ROY." Regular season voting, dude. Quiet down and look at Julio Rodriguez's regular season numbers.

It's MVP not player of the month for September.

I know? Manny still tops both in WAR.

I am just saying a pedestrian September would have kept the award. Goldy also having a out-of-character bad year defensively (using DRS/OAA/whatever you want) didn't help either. (Gold glove nomination be damned)

I don’t think there is a right or wrong choice among the 3 NL MVP finalists. I’m pulling for either Goldy or Nado to win, just to have that highlight in their excellent careers, but Machado is certainly deserving too. It will be interesting to see how voters end up ranking them, and what they assign more “value” to.
