Re: Degrom to Rangers
DeGrom can be one of the best pitchers in baseball but not sure I want to give a 5 year contract to someone who's having troubles staying off of the IL.

Mets were smart to let him go.
Still really good, but not insanely good. And he’s hurt all the time.
Mets can allocate that money much more efficiently.

I hope deGrom kills it there, just such a fun player to watch. The Rangers issues last season weren’t the guys they spent money on.

He deserves every penny if he can stay relatively healthy. He's incredible. Glad he's out of the NL.

deGrom is obviously awesome when healthy. But he is 35 next year and hasn’t pitched over 100 innings since 2019. It is just…a lot. In years and guaranteed money.

Re: Degrom to Rangers
Well, what if I told you he promised the Rangers he'd be in the Best Shape of His Life if they'd sign him? That's worth something right there.Popeye_Card wrote: ↑December 2 22, 10:03 pmdeGrom is obviously awesome when healthy. But he is 35 next year and hasn’t pitched over 100 innings since 2019.
