Getting dangerously close to muddling.

Orioles and Dbacks could also use Hicks.

So it's come to this. The Orioles are buying and we are selling.

Orioles have a bunch of middling starters under team control the Cardinals could use.

Hey that’s 2 of the best farm systems in the game right now
Not expecting top prospects; but a 8-10 in the orioles or dbacks system could prob be equivalent to at top 3-5 in a diff one

I think the Cardinals will want a Dean Kremer, Tyler Wells, Ryne Nelson or Tommy Henry type. Someone who can pitch 150-170 innings next season.

I’m no expert, and I know wells is having a bad July, but their fans seem to be ready to get rid of the guy
Yeah he’s 28, but had TJS and obv missed the COVID season, that’s why he’s 28 in his 3rd year
But strikes out a decent amount and does not walk guys.
Does give up the HR ball, but when not walking anyone?
And 3 years of arb left?
If we can turn bader, into montgomery, into a wells-type pitcher, I’d be thrilled.

Why would the Orioles trade one of their starting pitchers, with years of team control left, for 2 months of a different starting pitcher?

Wells is at his career high in innings and probably can’t stay in the rotation through the finish line. But he might be too much for a rental. You’re basically trying to get someone’s Oviedo and maybe a longshot prospect.cardsfantx wrote: ↑July 29 23, 10:54 pmI’m no expert, and I know wells is having a bad July, but their fans seem to be ready to get rid of the guy
