Bill Walton RIP
Sort of an intellectual Andre the Giant. Really liked him as a kid.

Re: Bill Walton RIP
He won us the only Blazers championship there ever will be because God hates me. Before I was born.
I went from hating him to truly loving him as an announcer which is how I know him most. He’s Portland all the way through and way before Fred Armison. 7 foot redhead deadhead on a ridiculous bicycle. And everyone has seen him around, myself included. When Portland figures things out I hope it remains a Bill Walton kind of place.
(I know he’s a California boy. But so is most everyone else here.)

Re: Bill Walton RIP
I had the good fortune of hanging out with him for a few minutes pre-COVID. Very nice guy, though once he got talking, it was hard to stop him. He would go on and on... sometimes meandering from topic to topic along that verbal journey.
