Pushard will make this team in my mind. He's another guy with an above average fastball to add to the group. He spins the ball pretty well also, with a decent slider.

Big guy with some thickness. I was surprised the Marlins left him unprotected, but it's possible they saw him as more of an up-and-down guy rather than any sort of sustained contributor (can't say they're too off there).

Undrafted kid who has worked through it to get here. He was one of three or four guys who were a lock to be selected.

It'll be interesting if we ever add a non-pitcher this offseason.

Well, they can’t hit, so some position players would be cool. Mozeliak built such a [expletive] pitching staff it obscured the subpar offense.

Oh yeah, the minor league guy they added is an org. guy. Below average fastball, but solid command when he's not hurt and he can start at AAA to fill out a roster down there. Doubtful he is a major leaguer, as you can see his old org. didn't think highly enough of him to put him on their AAA roster to protect him from minor league phase. Was once a decent prospect before injuries hit, but the fastball just doesn't play enough for me.

Reminds you of Sem Robberse, honestly.

Yankees took RHP Cade Winquest from the Cards in the Rule 5.

Cardinal Minor Leaguers RHP Sean Harney, 1B Matt Lloyd and RHP Zane Mills selected in the MILB portion of today’s Rule 5 Draft.

Pushard and Dick Fitts on the same team is a dream come true.

If only we could have Pujols as a manager.

I would be much happier with a 70-win 2026 if we had a team full of the silliest names in baseball.
