Rendon will not be back with the Angels. The team is buying out his contract.

Also have my doubts that Bloom would have taken the job if he was told spending was intended to remain in the bottom third.
ehh, there's only 30 of these jobs available in the entire world, and no one seemed to be busting down his door for one

I'm sure they'll do whatever they're told, and work with whatever constraints they're given

Angels are reworking Rendon's contract, so they won't need Arenado.
rendon isn't returning to the angels, but don't think they were a fit anyways
The Angels and Anthony Rendon have agreed to a restructured version of his contract that will defer the $38MM he is still owed for the next three to five seasons, reports Sam Blum of The Athletic. Rendon will not return to the team. His tenure with the Angels is over.

I misread a blurb on the ESPN crawl. Thanks for straightening me out.

I wonder if that will go down as the worst “large” FA contract

It was almost a million dollars a game, I believe. Yes, worst contract in history without a doubt.

Ryan Divish, the Mariners beat writer for the Seattle Times, says the Mariners are not interested in dealing any players from their major league roster but would be willing to give up their top pitching prospect, Jurrangelo Cijntje, in a package for Brendan Donovan.

I'd rather have Sloan.
Here’s someone who agrees with you about Sloan.

I'm sure Anthony Rendon quite liked it

Rendon becomes probably the wealthiest alum of my uni, hilariously.

What Rendon did should probably be criminal. He hated baseball and did everything he could to not play baseball despite signing that contract.
