Ramos stats don't look great.

He fits right in.
He's no Bligh.

I like that he is a righty... they also need a righty OF that can play center. I'm not even asking for a good righty OF that can play center - just anyone.

Sum of his parts type. He's a guy that never had big tools but just feel for the game, and is a high character type (supposedly, I don't know him).

The problem with these types is the ceiling is always limited and as a plus skill archetype, the swing decisions are poor.

He has attributes that play up, such as pulled fly balls, quality of contact when actually making contact, and versatility.

I feel like he's a decent claim for a rebuilding team, but really is a "Cardinal" type that they have a collection of. Fermin, Saggese, etc. are the major league versions.

I'd rather spend this year making waiver claims on significant tools bets and see if you can unlock something that if they were to hit, you'd have more than a last roster type.

Not strong feelings either way.

Lots of players signing today. Cards are still trying to keep that payroll under $100 million.

Still crossing my fingers for Grichuk or McCutchen. I am just not ready for tons of Walker, Scott, and Church all season.

The Cards have made a trade:
Cardinals, Nationals Swap George Soriano, Andre Granillo
