Dominos appear to be falling. We gonna sell anyone lol?
Morning edit: more trades. I’m starting to think we have missed the boat and will be running back the same team.

You need to trade Faulk for whatever he will bring - a single 2nd rounder is fine, just move his remaining contract and get the chance of picking a future contributor.
I can see a limited market for Schenn - I wouldn't force trading the captain if the deal doesn't feel right. Even though I would be fine shifting the C over to Thomas.
Personally I'd move Binner if at all possible. Somebody is likely OK with paying for his big game pedigree. I appreciate what he's done for the team, but I think Hofer is the starter going forward and I'd like to clear Binner's salary off the books.

I’m weirdly okay with keeping schenn. Assuming his value to us is far more than what we would get. (Plus I love what he has done for the org.) I mean if you can get a 2nd with no retention or something then yeah, but him as a vet anchor on the bottom six would be a nice way to give the developing kids a mentor.
I do think we need to move a forward and then not resign sunny so there is room for the kids, but maybe that’s why they waived Joseph and fabbri.
Also is buchy like a passable 2C for now? What is going on? If so then are we okay until dvo is ready?
At this point I’d like a solid return for Faulk and a roster spot opened for a kid at forward. Then see what the offseason brings.

no moves made with 1 1/2 hours to go, and the blues have called a 3pm conference
have a feeling no moves at all are going to be made if they're already calling for a conference....

That feels like a pretty major failure if we end up trading no one of significance. We aren't trying to extend a contention window where it makes sense to chalk this season up as a loss and run it back again next year. Embrace the fact that this is a rebuild that doesn't have to be torn all the way down. Sell what you can.

Sounds like a pretty good return - a 1st, a 3rd, and "a prospect". Not sure what draft years or who yet, but to get a 1st for Schenn is a pretty good get.

Yeah he bleeds blue so I love him, but he hasn’t been great for a bit, so I would’ve been thrilled with just the 1st lolPopeye_Card wrote: ↑March 6 26, 1:40 pmSounds like a pretty good return - a 1st, a 3rd, and "a prospect".
