O’Brien has been shaky for awhile, but in his defense he hasn’t pitched in a freaking week because of Oli’s paint by numbers bullpen and that’s his closer, so can only use him in save situations. If Oli hadn’t gotten tossed, I wonder if we’d even have seen him today lol

And yeah, Soriano has outpitched him in awhile and he should be given save situations. And when he struggles you go the the next guy who’s hot.

Tiny sample but his defense has been fine. He and Crooks both have an xWOBA of ~.386 which is very good and gives hope that they could be real.

Soriano has a .218 BABIP so his fall is coming as well. Graceffo with the .163 is like three standard deviations below the mean so his blowup is going to be epic as well.

I still believe the position side is real and sustainable and the pitching side is made of tissue paper and we don't really have a single building block of a staff.

If May, Romero, O'Brien really are dealt like reports say, the bottom could come out of the staff.

Losing Dick Fitts stings because I think he could've replaced one of the rotation guys at some point soon.

Agreed. Almost all of the bullpen is smoke and mirrors. A credit to coaching, preparation and luck.

Stanek and Soriano were looking good but have both had a flew blips recently. Graceffo always seems like he's barely hanging on. I don't trust anyone in the bullpen.

Looking at the Memphis roster is depressing. Not many options pitching decently on the 40 man besides Mautz and he isn't particularly impressive. Dobbins is the only option.
