Blues just want all the centers. Dagenais at 16.

I don’t know anything about him. I way too quick search seems to indicate it may have been a reach?

It was; his dad played in the nhl so there is that
Had a big 2nd half this year
So consensus seems to be that he could be a 2nd line guy if all plays out; or he’s just a checker/4th line guy like Toro if it does not
Too high to take that risk IMO; esp since you traded away 2 1st rounders, where you could’ve taken risks
Belchetz FLOOR seems to be 2nd line; [expletive] if we’d have picked him I would’ve loved this draft even with the McTavish as that “solved” some center issues with he and Lawrence

Still pissed about passing on Belchetz. That sucks. Look at tha guy. He’s [expletive] huge. Gonna be a star.
But in McTavish; that’s the Faulk and Schenn picks. If you’d had told me a could get rid of Faulk and Schenn and get McTavish? That’s good lol

This is starting to remind me of when I used to play fantasy baseball, and I would draft like 4 middle infielders in the first four rounds, because they were the best value at the time. Then I would immediately realize “what the [expletive] am I doing?”.
Gotta say I’m disappointed. I had higher hopes.

I’d feel better if they can sign a top flight D man in free agency though, with all their cap space.

Yeah, it appears to be a reach and Belchez seems to be a guy that would have made sense. Idk. We have a pretty good scouting dept though.
Anyways, it’s been fun. Interesting at least. I’m intrigued by a McM-McT-Buch-Dvo-State Farm-Suter middle 6. Could work out, could flop. But I’m interested to watch and see.

I worry about us being able to score enough.
We really need Buchnevich to regain some of his scoring touch.
