After the lopsided score in game 1 of the series St. Louis has flipped their run differential into the positive with a +12.

Chicago despite being on the negative end of the first matchup still have a differential of +47.

Both teams are well behind division leader Milwaukee in differential--the Brewers are at +127 entering play today, second only to the Dodgers in the major leagues.

The Cubs are signing former Cardinals and most recently Brewers pitcher Jake Woodford. Woodford had been DFA'd by Milwaukee in early June and signed a minor league deal with the club; but exercised an opt out this month.
