Re: 2026 MLB Draft
I think you guys will enjoy Williamson. Watching him that dude gives EVERYTHING in his swing. It's a huge wrap like a long drive golfer. You know with the entire waggle and lag they can get.
His data has been fine, and the Big-12 was a surprisingly strong conference this year.
He's a legit pick in that spot; not who I wanted, because I think there are real hit tool concerns, but the pop is legit as a RF type.
Gaeckle is the type that one tweak can make him explode, but he never performed as a starter.
Montesa is going to be a reliever and is definitely a money saver for Maniscalco.
Fun draft thus far. I love having so many picks.

Dee Kennedy this round would fit nicely.

With pick #86, cards take Caden Ferraro OF Texas Tech
Another reach/cost savings pick?

Ferraro is literally just a stick. Cannot play defense at all, but this dude hits and his data is incredible.
Basically, this kid is a mashup of Herrera and Burleson as a hitter. Smooth contact and pop of Burleson, defense of Burleson as well, with the swing decisions of Herrera.
If you asked me (and you didn't) I'm taking Ferraro in the top-50.

Oh well, 1 more pick to go today; just thought we’d go for a lot higher upside with as much money and picks as we have.

Ahh gotcha. Prob why his rankings are a lot lower than where he was drafted? Why not wait as he’s prob still be there later?

There is a lot of Run/Arm/Glove upside, and the Cardinals took two of the top ones of that archetype.
Kuhns is one of the top arms if he hits (upside).
Ferraro and Williamson are both raw power data types. Williamson can stick up middle and Ferraro will definitely hit.
I'm pretty happy with what they've done in aggregate, if I'm honest.

Not a ton of true upside in this draft. At least in the sense of 60 Hit/60 Power.cardsfantx wrote: ↑July 11 26, 4:08 pmAhh gotcha. Prob why his rankings are a lot lower than where he was drafted? Why not wait as he’s prob still be there later?
