Marcell Ozuna was released by the Pirates today.
Fun factoid. Ozuna is currently 17th in career home runs among active players, with 304. Anyone care to guess the 16 players ahead of him without looking?

Marcella is sad to learn that.

Yeah, Harper and Machado were brainfarts, for sure.

All correct thus far, minus Ramirez - who is 19th, 9 HR shy of Ozuna. Ozuna is actually tied with another player for 17th.

In fact you have the top 9. After that is where it starts getting a little tricky.

Another weird factoid from the active list - despite having 835 fewer plate appearances, Randal Grichuk (33rd) has 1 more career HR than Alex Bregman.

Mods, move this to the "Things that sound false but are really true" thread.

Here's a fun one.

Rank these current and former Cardinal shortstops in order by total career home runs (not just with the Cardinals).

Kozma
Theriot
Izturis
Eckstein
