Cardinal Minor League Offensive Prospects

Seems like the pickings are slim in AAA and AA. AA has 25 yr old OF Joe Mather who is hitting .324 with 10 HR, 21 yr old C Bryan Anderson is hitting .327 with 50% of his hits being for extra bases, and 24 yr old 2B Jarrett Hoffpauir who is hitting .309. Colby Rasmus is hitting .234 with 18 hits of which 10 are for extra bases.

AAA has 2 players hitting above .300. 29 yr old OF Ryan Ludwick is hitting .344 with 7 HR and 29 yr old 2B Edgar Gonzalez is hitting .333. 28 yr old OF Rick Ankiel is hitting .247 with 21 hits (4 double, 1 triple, 7 HR). Also, JRod is hitting .200.

I agree there isn't much in terms of upside in AAA but just about all of our good hitting prospects are in AA right now. Rasmus, Anderson, Jay, Greene and Mather could all be big parts of the cardinals future. The only great hitting praspect not in AA is Jones.
