According to this report, the Cardinals cover $1 million of Edmonds' salary.

Actually it says the Cards will cover AT LEAST 1 million, which is why the trade has to be approved by the commissioners office. Id be surprised if it was only 1 mil

Put it to ya this way: the kid who is coming here from San Diego, St. Louisan David Freese, is calling all his homeboys here to give 'em the news.

Freese has progressed defensively and could always hit, he would be a top 10 prospect in the Cards system, prob. neck and neck with Kozma.

A 24-year old that's never played about A+? I'm not sure how you're drawing that conclusion.

I can't put too much emphasis on his age since he played out his college eligibility.
