Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
Why are you making this difficult? Her experience was called in to question, what would she have to gain by going back at the bloggers, which she also did, so she called their oponents experience in to question. Why is it ok for the Dems to question her experience, but not ok for the GOP to call his into question. Again, she attakced for political gain, what they are all doing. They are trying to get elected. I wish they all would stop whith how the other guy is wrong for the Country, and talk about why they are right for the Country.Richie Allen wrote:Why are you making this so [expletive] difficult? Obama SAID nothing about her inexperience before the RNC. She was the first to strike when she mocked his experience. If she heard rumblings of her being inexperienced, which justifiably should have been discussed from the day she was named, she should have responded to those that were making that claim. Not by tearing down her opponent's experience. After that, why wouldn't Obama feel compelled to mock her back?wart57 wrote:She was mocked, so she mocked back. And my comment about the mocking tone and the attacks at the RNC have very much to do with the discussion. I did not like all the attacks they made. I am tired of the attacks by both parties, but I think some people think it is of for their party to attack, but below the belt when the other party attacks. I just wish they woud talk about the issues.

Deep down, neither believes they are right for the Country?wart57 wrote:Why are you making this difficult? I don't understand why the two are ever connected anyway.wart57 wrote:Why are you making this difficult? When Obama was a community organizer, Palin was busy operating a car wash (or something like that).
When Palin was a mayor, Obama was a state senator, and then a US senator.
When Palin was governor, Obama was a US senator (and running for president by then).
We should at least be comparing similar timelines. Though we really shouldn't be doing much comparing at all, since they aren't running for the same office.
I don't think the "community organizer" comments were offensive in any way. I just think they were stupid. They certainly didn't help the Republicans shed their image of being elitists.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
OMG...My original point was that she mocked Obama at the RNC before he dropped the lipstick reference. My point had nothing to do with whether her experience was questioned by the media or by bloggers, etc... It was about him and her. Her rudely mocking his community organizing....THEN...(if it were indeed intended for her) his lipstick reference. First and then second.wart57 wrote:Why are you making this difficult? If there was evidence that Obama had mocked or discounted her experience, then what you've argued would have leveled my original point. The fact that people that don't like her were typing things on the internet, not unlike what we're doing now, doesn't factor into it at all.
But even if it did...she should have said something that would have explained why her experience was relevant. Not, that her opponent isn't experienced either.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
I have not said anything about the lipstick comment. I have not even heard what Obama said, nor do I care about any lipstick cpomment. From the very beginning I said she was mocking because she was mocked, not exactly the most adult thing to do, but it sure got a big bump for her party, which is what it was intended to do.Richie Allen wrote:OMG...My original point was that she mocked Obama at the RNC before he dropped the lipstick reference.
