It's also not very useful when "liberal" is being used to characterize people that basically lean toward "conservatism". I and a couple others on here have said that we've voted Republican the majority of the time and we're now supporting Obama because we like him and what he's been saying. How that makes us "liberal" or "liberals" is beyond me. BW23 has already challenged some of us that we're lying when we claim that so I'll go ahead a provide a couple quotes of mine from the past here at GRB.

I know, I made the same mistake of labeling.

And the first, and most insulting, reason is the Democrats tendency to pander to the younger crowd. Their battle cry that they're going to Washington to fight for "us". They're going to raise minimum wage. They're trying to save the environment, despite the evil doings of their counterparts. They want free healthcare for everybody.

You may be right but keep in mind it's still only the end of October, 2007. The latest poll numbers I see closed the gap somewhat 37 to 23% Hillary, from 44 to 17% Hillary. Of course I'm not sure how accurate this type of polling is when you've still got 40% of the people picking candidates like Gore, Edwards, Richardson, etc.
Sorry Snayke. Doesn't really apply to what's above but I couldn't help post it anyway.
