i can't believe that both of these idiots are basing their campaigns on muckraking..

For me, it's more on how he says things when talking about him rather than what he says.

But at least he encouraged confrontation this week telling all of his supporters to argue and get in the face of Republicans and independents. That's brilliant campaigning right there.

It's not like mudslinging is the only thing they're doing. It's just the only thing the media is showing you. As I said, I could show you hours of footage of Obama talking about taxes, health care, etc. But I doubt if you'd be interested.

I don't get it. Republicans have won recent elections in part by portraying Democrats as weak and unpatriotic. Some might say by using bully tactics. I didn't hear the comment but if Obama is telling his supporters not to back down in the face of that stuff then good for him. OTOH if he told his followers to kick lame and elderly Conservatives then shame on him.

Well said Luke. When the Dems at the DNC roughed up a FOX reporter, I thought -Wow, good for them liberals, they are finally standing up to the bully that steals their milk money.

When the wealthy GOP who worship tax cuts and corporate welfare joined forces with the moral conservatives who worship guns and religion and hate a bunch of other stuff, they became a powerful political force. They make everything a battle of good vs evil, and those liberals who see the gray areas are evil.

I personally don't like to be part of a party like the democrats. But voting for Nader etc won't stop another Bush-like presidency.
