Nobody even noticed that I snuck the Red Sox logo back in.
edit - Oh lord knows I tried but I can't. Divorce would be easier than having that damn logo on my name.

I noticed the Red Sox logo earlier but let it slide given your previous admission of fraternizing with their kind.
The Cubbie thing puts the crossed line distant in the rear view mirror.

McCain is pulling resources out of Michigan, and redeploying them in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Florida:

In the meantime, in Maine and Nebraska (states where the electoral votes are apportioned by congressional district), McCain is seeking to win an electoral vote in Maine, and Obama is putting more resources in Nebraska to win one vote from the district that represents Omaha.

uh...ok...Palin also commented Friday on her widely-panned series of interviews with Katie Couric, telling Fox interviewer she did not think the CBS News anchor asked enough issue-based questions.
“I did feel there were a lot of things she was missing in terms of an opportunity to ask what a VP candidate stands for, what the values are that are represented in our ticket," Palin said. "I guess I have to apologize for being a bit annoyed, but that’s also an indication about being outside that Washington elite, outside that media elite also, and just wanting to talk to Americans without the filter and let them know what we stand for."

I don't think "values" are going to help us resolve our banking crisis, balance the budget, address global warming, implement a strategy against Al Qaeda, or educate our children. But I appreciate her concern.Jocephus wrote:uh...ok...Palin also commented Friday on her widely-panned series of interviews with Katie Couric, telling Fox interviewer she did not think the CBS News anchor asked enough issue-based questions.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. Palin/McCain: The Thread
Honestly, I think she does bring a sense of empathy to the Republican ticket which is missing in a guy who isn't sure how many houses he owns. I don't think Americans want empathy as much as they want solutions right now, which is why I still think the Palin selection was a blunder, but I'm sure they're going to make the best they can of it by playing up her middle class standing.
