Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin

So, apparently McPalin rallies are getting pretty nasty and now McCain has to defend Obama and reinforce that he's decent and NOT a Muslim. And his supporters had a smattering of boos at McCain.

This is bizarre.

Sounds like he's having some difficulty relating to his base.

Down here in SWMO I hear, "I'm not going to vote for Obama because he is going to be assassinated" all the [expletive] time. The type of people around here are the exact type of people that McCain/Palin are targeting. I could ramble on and on about stupid people here, but I would just get angry and my fingers would start bleeding from all the typing I'd have to do.

Obama is targeting stupid Americans that have somehow fallen for him because he's a great orator. Well, great in that he talks well without saying anything.

You have been watching the same debates the rest of us have, yes?

Actually, no. I haven't watched much of the debates. For the first one, I had a night out with my family. I chose the right thing.

For the VP debate, I chose the Dodgers game over it. Again, I chose correctly.

The last one I worked very late, so I didn't see it either.

Sure, I caught bits and pieces of some, but I don't need those to make up my mind.

And you don't need "us" guys. Obama will win, and both the Senate and the House will be controlled by the Dems. At least no Republicans can get blamed for what will happen.

Enjoy the next four years. I won't.

I bet if you are Muslim-American right now you are feeling pretty [expletive]-ty about this election. all this hatred and nonsense about Obama being a Muslim. There is such openly accepted and brazen racism that Obama feels compelled to defend himself against this BS of him being a Muslim. Like if he had anything other than a Christian faith, he wouldn't be eligible to president.

It makes me uneasy the way Muslims are openly hated in this country. who do we hate next?

We'll probably get over our irrational hatred of Muslims at some point. After all, the Japanese bombed the harbor and those feelings are gone.

Just curious, but I would like to know what Obama has done in his background that make you believe he will bring about wonderful change? I am not saying that McCain is the wonderful answer either, I just want to know what you think he has done that has been successful.
