On CNN, Bill Bennett just stated that Sarah Palin is ready to be President because she has been the chief executive of "a large state."

I can't remember a President or candidate in recent memory who would have been able AND willing to give that answer. It reminds me of Clinton, only a lot more candid and detailed than anything he would have said.

I'll be "early voting" hopefully sometime this week. That reminds me, I have a rant to post.
I think one of his biggest assets is being able to talk to people like that.

I thought this was an interesting piece on the difference between British and American conservatives, and the task the Republican party to remake itself:

I normally don't "get" what people are talking about when they complain about liberal media bias, but MSNBC is pretty bad. They wouldn't stoop to the level of saying "Osama, I mean Obama" or terrorist fist jabs or anything like that but it's pretty clear where their loyalties lie. My mom hates CNN and Anderson Cooper for some reason but I think they are pretty fair.

I agree with this.

Me too, but unfortunately they're a little too fond of graphics.

I think CNN is closest to the middle, but they annoy me to death with their "rooms" of people where there's like 10 analysts all talking while Blitzer or Cooper walk around acting like they know what's going on.

The graphics are over the top, too.

Seriously. Anderson Cooper had two tables full of analysts and anchors to juggle last time. Enough already.

Not to mention the BIG screen in the studio. So when the Dow drops 1000 points, they can put up a giant "1000" behind the guy who's talking about it.

I need to find the skit from either SNL or the Daily Show a few years back. It was a Headline News spoof and the graphics kept coming up on the screen, and the anchor kept having to move his head until he was finally blocked out completely.

I like the hotties they trot out to talk about each party's strategy.

It's not just CNN. I really don't need to see a graphic telling me the runner has a 6 foot lead.
