They wouldn't stoop to the level of saying "Osama, I mean Obama" or terrorist fist jabs or anything like that but it's pretty clear where their loyalties lie. My mom hates CNN and Anderson Cooper for some reason but I think they are pretty fair.
I agree with this.
as long as Leroy agrees, so do I.

when I'm interested in watching the cable-newstalk circus, I flip around. MSNBC is enjoyable, but its like a guilty pleasure its easy to get too much of it. Fox is indescribably bad so sometimes I find it entertaining (the 24 hours coverage of Acorn and Ayers). CNN is ok, but Larry King's format is silly - where does he find those talking stooges? Last night he had Ben Stein vs. Chas Barkley in a debate. Its almost like Springer. From the little I see of Glenn Beck -Limbaugh like moron.

Can only take any of it in small doses.

I like Chris Matthews and Morning Joe on MSNBC. I also like the hour that Andrea Mitchell hosts at noon. But I can't watch Olbermann anymore and Rachel Maddow in small doses.

I go back and forth between MSNBC and CNN, depending on the anchor. I even enjoy FOX's Shepherd Smith on occasion. Although I haven't seen it recently.

Anytime any program has an Obama supporter and a McCain supporter on at the same time, I tune out or it's in the background. I don't need to hear the constant talking points ad nauseam. Although even that can be fun when watching a supporter try to steer the question to get to their talking point. I just wish fewer show hosts let them get away with that. I saw Bob Schieffer (sp) on CNN's Reliable Sources a couple of weeks ago. He was saying that sometimes he just wants to jump across the table when they go into their talking points.

sidenote: Does Glen Beck know that he's gay? Every time I watch him, I wonder this question.

I think 24 hour news channels are deadly.

Frankly, I enjoy MSNBC, but would agree that they are slanted left. I think the reason they have Pat Buchanan is to try and appear balanced.

I enjoy Keith O. a lot and Rachel Maddow is the best thing to happen to cable news since Robin Meade (for different reasons).

Keith O. is entertainment. Once in a blue moon I like to watch him, and sometimes I actually laugh. Does Rush make anyone laugh, or do people just get ticked off and head to the nearest Palin rally full of pi$$ and vinegar?

His popularity is mystifying to me. I only listen to try and understand that very thing. I used to tune in years ago when I delivered flowers and couldn't stomach any of the music stations. He's not funny, has no interesting guests (seldom any guests for that matter), takes no challenging phone calls. When he does take an opposing call, it's some whackjob he can then analyze and make fun of for the next hour.

Hannity is a bit more reasoned and measured, and open to discussion. Still longing for the 1950's though.

I'll admit Beck is funny on occasion, but otherwise a blowhard. He's crass, but still complains about the coarsening of the culture.

When I've tuned to any of them lately, it's Ayers 24/7.

Dennis Miller is the only one I listen to regularly. It's really a different kind of show though. He's more of a pro-Iraq libertarian, and mixes in interviews with actors and comedians.

i have a question regarding barak's tax plan. He says you will be paying the same amount if you make 250K or less. Does that include the rebates as well? Like if you're paying taxes now, when you file you get a pretty big rebate, say 1500 dollars. I just did the tax calculator and it said I would get $500 back. Is that $500 back plus the rebate of say 1500 dollars....or is the rebate just $500 this time?

< $200K = tax cut
200-250 = same
250+ = tax increase, basically putting that tax bracket back to the Clinton days and rolling back Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.
