I'm not sure I understand your point. They checked into the wardrobes spending of the other candidates and found it to not be an issue. In fact, if I remember correctly, Biden, McCain, and Obama are wearing their own suits on the campaign trail and whatever purchases they have made for wardrobe or makeup etc have been very small in comparison to what has been spent on Palin.

But yeah, if they found that donor money was being spent on the other 3 candidates on anything that would appear wasteful to the public then it would probably made an issue by someone out there.
Actually, it bothers me to see all the wasteful money spent on ads and such by all parties. Obama's going to spend over $700 million. That's absurd money.
I completely agree.
But it says a lot about his supporters.
Not really. I don't even know what you're trying to imply by saying that. Traditionally the Republicans are the ones who have out-raised Democrats in elections. That trend started to shift when Bill Clinton first started narrowing the gap. It is people on the right who have always fought real campaign finance reform, arguing that it's an infringement on the first amendment. So if you subscribe to that popular view, what Obama's fund-raising says is that there are simply many more people who passionately support Obama than who passionately support McCain, and as a result, they are making their first amendment statement to donate the legally allowable amount of money to support his campaign.

It's a bit of a shame (and ironic) that it's McCain who is on the losing end of this expression of free speech, because he is one of the only prominent Republicans who has fought the spiraling increases of money being interjected into our political campaigns. And he took a great deal of heat from people in his own party for aligning himself with Democrats on this issue.

Good grief, you love to play the victim don't you? You may think you were clear the first time, but in fact you weren't. Maybe if you would put a little more thought into what you write in here, people wouldn't be constantly misunderstanding your points. I wasn't purposely trying to read anything negative into what you said, I was literally trying to see what your point was. If I misunderstood it, it's not my fault. Just clear up the misunderstanding without throwing in barbs.

All things considered she looks pretty natural doing that. Anyone remember this awkward disaster?

Yeah, reform is needed to level the playing field so that the Republican party has a chance to compete against the black candidates.

Youtube has been sucking lately for me, for some reason. It takes forever to load and the videos that people post on here don't show up.

This is not the time when John McCain can afford a bad polling day. And yet he's had perhaps his worst one of the year.
All I really have to quote. All Hail Silver.
