Why did she lie about anything or is she trying to profit from this? She let this story run its course, Joe still wants to be out there. Her husband having been a republican contributor as well as her voting republican is about as far as vetting went.BW23 wrote:We'll just all agree to disagree on this, too.

I'm still trying to figure if Clinton is a marxist or that America was a socialist country during those 8 years?

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin
GA Early voting update:
1,572,293 voted
-still holding at 35% AA
-turnout is already 47% of total voted in 2004
-early voting is up 134% from 2004
EDIT:
Marist polls:
Colorado: Obama 51 McCain 45
Virginia: Obama 51 McCain 47
But the internals show that Obama has already won Colorado through early voting. 44% of registered voters say they have already voted and they go for Obama 59 to 41. So unless McCain can win remaining voters by somewhere between 12 and 15 points, the state of Colorado is already blue.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin
My problem is not with Joe the Plumber, it's with John McCain.
Joe the Plumber basically told a flat out lie in his attempt to show up Obama. Fine. He's entitled to do that if he chooses. But unbeknownst to McCain, Joe the Plumber was not the face of a small business owner. So he used his little exchange with Obama to highlight the plight of the small business owner who will be punished by Obama's tax plan. Then some people in the media (and maybe even in Obama's campaign) stopped and thought about it for a second and said, "Wait a minute... The vast majority of small business owners make far less than $250,000, so does it make sense that this guy living on this street, in that house, has the resources to purchase a plumbing company that profits $278,000 a year?"
So they do a little investigating and find out that he isn't about to buy said plumbing business. In fact, he has nowhere near the resources to do so. In other words, he lied.
But that's not the part that bothers me. The part that bothers me is that McCain and Palin continue to use Joe the Plumber's plight as an excuse to attack Obama's plan... as if McCain's economic and tax policies are looking out for or are beneficial to people like Joe the Plumber. And it bothers me that there are actually people who buy this fish story that McCain's selling them.
Joe the Plumber has effectively become Sarah Palin v.2.0. He's another intellectual antithesis that energizes the base of working class Republicans who for whatever reason fall for this snow job that McCain is giving them, while simultaneously equally energizing Obama's supporters as well as turning off independents who see through disingenuousness in McCain's exploitation of the Joe the Plumber story.

No one should discredit her personal life but I will discredit her intellect. She's an idiot. Anyone who thinks Obama is a Marxist doesn't understand Marxism. Flat out. Furthermore, they don't understand the way our country already works. They have an idea of how it works that doesn't correspond with the way our government has functioned since the New Deal.BW23 wrote:We'll just all agree to disagree on this, too.

ha ha. that needed to be said.
Hate to be Captain Obvious -but a Marxist is hardly any different than Free Market/Capitalism. Both are utopian ideals that work great in there respective perfect worlds. But reality is far from perfect. As usual the truth lies in the middle of the two.
is resorting to McCarthyism the last hope of the GOP's campaign?
someone roust JCshutout - isn't Marxism closer to Christian values than pure Capitalism? FWIW.
