In fact, continue to paint me in the worst light possible as you've done time and again. You can claim you're being cute, or whatever it is you're attempting, but it's posts like yours and a few others that my overall opinion of this board has dropped considerably thanks to this thread. The things that have been said here would never have been allowed in other threads on this board prior to this one.

And there's a number of people I'm sure I won't respond to again because of this one thread.

Not that anyone cares since the messiah will be in office. Giddy times at GRB...at least for a while.
Well, it's responses like this that ultimately lead to political threads getting locked and banned at many sites. Why can't we just discuss the topics without getting so heated and disrespectful that people's feelings end up getting hurt? You're not the only McCain supporter on here so it's not like everyone is ganging up on you, as you seem to believe. But there are individuals on here that are just as enthusiastic about their beliefs as you are about yours, although they differ greatly from you. So what? State your opinion and have a discussion or move on. Hell, I took on the whole forum arguing that Yadier was a better hitter than they were accusing and swore that he'd hit .300 some day and was made to feel foolish for thinking so but so what? Why don't we all lighten up and have some consideration for other's opinions and stop worrying so much about who's picking on who?
Yeah. It's posts like that that lead to getting threads locked.

I'm not complaining about people ganging up on me. I'm saying that the some of the things said in this thread by a good number of people wouldn't be allowed elsewhere on this site. I'd say the mods know that, too.

I think for the final four days or so, as little as I'll post, I'll go into the same hate-spewing language as some of your left brethren here.

You'll see as a deal with the clowns that are here on the left supporting the messiah.

While this is a left leaning thread, I don't think it is nearly as hateful as you portray it to be. I certainly haven't seen any hate-spewing langauge and just wanted an example to see if I missed something.

This is completely unfair and you know it. There's been ugliness on both sides and I've worked hard behind the scenes to keep things as friendly as possible. It's funny how both sides have accused me of being unfair. Enough already.

edit - If you have an issue with a poster PM me and we'll chat about it. Thanks!

As far as hate-spewing, I haven't gotten emails from Obama supporters accusing McCain of being the next Hitler or a flag-burner.

Lyndon Johnson (Democrat)

Richard Nixon (Republican)
Increased Revenues by 17%

Gerald Ford (Republican)

Ronald Reagan (Republican)

George H. W. Bush (Republican)

To me, the most remarkable number in all of that is that under Bill Clinton spending only went up 9%. He and Carter were the least spendy Presidents over he past 40+ years, yet somehow the Republicans always warn us of how much Democrats love spending, and they use Clinton and Carter as their examples. It's a completely bogus and dishonest argument.
Clement, I was thinking about this earlier this morning. Can you tell me where you got these numbers?
