So far, I've got Splinter Cell:DA, The Orange Box, Perfect Dark Zero, and BioShock on my short list. I won a new copy of GOW1 on ebay last night...total impulse buy.

Sounds like your are pretty much only interested in shooters, correct?

I bought a PS3 last night after this deal was posted.

I swear, you're the master of tracking down good deals.

Shooters are what I usually dig, but I like other stuff. Psychonauts, Oddworld, Spiderman...had those for the first gen. Do they still make cool airplane/jet fighter games? Those are good, mindless fun. Platformers are great, but they can be very hit or miss. Psychonauts is a top 5 all-time game for me.

I picked up Splinter Cell: DA from a friend of mine, along with a few other games that he owns but doesn't play any more. It's quite possibly my favorite video game franchise. Especially if MGS is never going to happen on the Xbox.

FYI, the Table Tennis game is insanely fun.

Playstation 3 80GB Console $323

At the very least, it's a great blu-ray.

You might want to DL the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts demo on XBL. Here's a list of the current top 360 games. Other than GoW, I wouldn't bother with any shooter created before Halo3. Everything beforehand will look/play like junk.

Should we start a PS3 thread now?
