Just watched Tropic Thunder, I was underwhelmed.

I thought it was awful, in fact I turned it off after about a 1/2 hour.

I have it at home now. So - skip it?

I've read that alot of people have liked it so I would just take a look at it if I were you. It just wasn't my type of moive.

It would have been terrible if not for Tom Cruise. And Robert Downey Jr.

Downy Jr. was the best part of the movie. My wife is very sensitive to language, so the fact that every other woord was an f-bomb probably made it less enjoyable for me. The only thing worse would be watching a sex sceene in a movie with my grandmother in the room.

I actually watched it a second time to listen to the Ben Stiller/Jack Black/Robert Downey commentary. Downey stayed in character and was awesome.

The movie is worth it for Downey alone. Parts of it are hit and miss and it drags in part, but Downey is lights out. If you could watch a montage of Downey's scenes you'd be all set.

I'd say that's enough. Sometimes you know when to pack it in, or would rather be doing something else. I'm kept waiting for Moulin Rouge to be what everyone said it was. And waiting....

You can't get a good idea of how a movies going to be in 30 minutes?

That 30 minutes was barely watchable for me so I'm sure the next hour or so wasn't going to be much better.

film streams is awesome and it's only a few minutes from my house.. but i honestly
haven't even been there yet.. and that's a damn shame.. they play amazing new
and old movies.. how do you know about it?
