That's fine as long as he's blasting all of them. The Yankees could probably spend more money if they wanted to, also. You don't hear Boras telling them how to run their organization. Same goes for every other MLB team.

What you say is true, but I'm a fan of the Cardinals, and I like for them to be blasted about their spending, which I feel is too conservative given the resources available. It IS their choice how they run the club, but they run it too much to make a profit for my tastes as a fan. You don't own a baseball team to make a profit while owning it, you make your (massive) profit when you sell it.

I don't know. My thinking is the owners already have an idea how they view their money, what they will spend, and I don't really see them giving a damn about public pressure. I'm relatively satisfied with what they've done in the past. I've said it before, but in my opinion you may as well complain about the weather or a shark in the water. They bought the team and can more or less do with it as they see fit. They've done a good job on the whole, and if you can't get Peter Angelos to change things with his poor performance, you definitely won't get to them.

Apart from that, all of this stuff from Boras is too passive aggressive for my taste. Maybe that's being an agent, but there are a lot of rich agents and players who don't seem to engage in this kind of thing.

Oh sure, the fans do. But when you're negotiating among professionals, you would think you would try to be a little more professional, rather than stating publicly that your counterpart doesn't know how to do his job.

Boras is incredibly successful. He's still a jerk.
