They don't need it. They just need the league to let them use the Yedlin money now to buy down Alonso below DP. Of course, buying down a DP can't be done at this point in the season--just like restructuring a DP to non-DP through extension (lot of good it did him) couldn't be done at this point in the season until Shalrie Joseph last year. But then, they would also need the league to flip back the DPs aren't allocated rule once more. All doable.

Ok, I'm getting ridiculous at this point. But in all honesty, with this league, just barely, or maybe not at all.

It's why Merritt Paulson (Timbers owner) needs to get on the phone with Jermaine and convince him to say he'll come to MLS only if he can come to the Timbers. I bet the league would make it happen. Maybe, like Seattle, we would have to give up zero assets as well.

It's more what isn't a foul. Basically, get ball first and any contact judged to be incidental by the ref is not a foul. Everything else is.
